Budgeting for Outcomes - Prioritize Your Tax Dollars

People pay taxes almost everywhere but not everywhere asks people how those taxes should be spent. 2018 is a budget year which means it’s time for you to tell us about your priorities, needs and visions for the future of Fort Collins.

Budgeting for Outcomes, or BFO, is the City’s process around creating a budget that combines data, research and public engagement to allocate resources in a way that is reflective and responsive to the community.

Write Your Councilmember

Would you like to support a specific Budget Offer? Are you a member of a club, coalition, business or other group that would like to submit combined feedback? Request a presentation for your group and/or consider writing your Councilmember. Find out who your Councilmember is here or send letters of support to David Young at dyoung@fcgov.com.

    Stop by to have a say in how your tax dollars are spent. Mobile Budget Booths feature an activity to prioritize tax dollars in English and Spanish, educational resources, and a chance to speak directly with City staff.

    When: Wednesday, May 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

    Where: Old Town Library out front unless there is inclemate weather we'll be in Community Room 1.
