How much does cable TV cost through Connexion?

Barefootmeg asked about 1 month ago

Please visit https://www.fcconnexion.com/residential-tv for current pricing.

We have a 2 story, 3000+ square foot house. Will the ONT unit provide good coverage for that area? If not, I read that a Beacon 3 is available to extend the Nokia unit that you provide, giving mesh coverage. The Nokia website says those are only available through ISPs but Amazon lists them at $899! Is that something you will be offering?

Jem C. asked 3 months ago

The Connexion team is finalizing the products and pricing for our Nokia Mesh Beacons  - we will be offering multiple options and we will not be charging the customer the outrageous price Amazon is retailing for--we promise!

What are the COVID19 precautions that your technicians will follow during interior work?

Jem C. asked 3 months ago

In order to best serve our customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have revised our practices for “in-home” premise work.

Based on guidelines from the CDC, public health experts, and our internal recommendation, we have established the following processes for “in-home” premise work

    1. Connexion or our vendor partner, OnTrac, Inc., will call to confirm the appointment the day before and inform the customer of all protective measures that will be utilized for safety, as well as outline protocol for social separation during the installation. In addition, a series of questions will be asked to determine if the install should still take place:

    • Staff will ask the customer if anyone in the home has signs of a respiratory illness (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing).
    • Staff will ask the customer if anyone in the home has encountered anyone that has shown signs of a respiratory illness (e.g., fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing).
    • Staff will ask the customer if anyone in the home has traveled out of the country in the past 45 days.
    • Staff will ask the customer if anyone in the home has traveled out of the state in the past 45 days.

    2. Staff will call the customer 30 minutes prior to the appointment.

    • Staff will inform the customer of the anticipated arrival time as well as the estimated time to complete all necessary installation and/or troubleshooting tasks in the home or business.
    •  Upon arrival, staff will contact the customer by phone.
    •  Prior to entering the home or business, staff will be outfitted with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

The Customer may elect to remain in the area of the premise work provided they maintain the CDC recommendation of six feet social distancing from staff at all times. Both staff and customer may interact with instructions and/or questions provided the safe social distancing is maintained.  Following completion and testing of equipment, staff will wipe down all areas of contact with approved disinfectant.

Can I connect NordVPN to my connexion router? So all of my devices that connect to the router get protected

    Kaylonhardy asked 5 months ago

Connexion Internet service supports VPNs configured on the customers’ LAN network; configuration of VPN software directly on the Connexion ONT is not supported.

Will the AX4300 WiFi router work with Connexion?

    RSchelir asked 5 months ago

After looking into the Netgear AX4300, that router is most definitely compatible with our service.

Unnecessary question: Is there an option for 1Gbps subscribers to receive the XS-250WX-A ONT that is being deployed for 10 Gbps service? For subscribers with home network hardware that above 1G (2.5/5/10Gbps) it would provide an ONT that isn't limited by the port speed to get full 1Gbps service. Nerdy question and thanks for providing amazing customer service to residents that are not even customers yet.

    moffittjf asked 4 months ago

The 10Gbps ONT terminates different spectrum (light) than a 1Gbps ONT

Does the TV service have an app that works on streaming devices (Roku, FireTV, Chromecast, etc) similar to a Netflix app? If not, are there any plans to bring one to market?

    Mtnardi asked 3 months ago

When you sign up for Connexion you do download the app from either Apple, Google Play or Amazon.
