Are there any plans to bring a connection to Tavelli Elementary school at the intersection of Lemay and Country Club? Will the service be available to residents of club estates around the school? There is currently only one provider that we can use (TDS). We are zoned county. I was hoping we'd have the chance to get connections if they will be brought by us to neighborhoods like Richards Lake, or Maple Hill. Thank you

    CPB2504 asked 18 days ago

Tavelli Elementary School is within City Limits, so it will have access to Connexion internet if the Poudre School District requests service.  There are some areas around the school that are in a growth management area (GMA) and not part of the initial build.  Once a GMA is annexed into the City Limits, Connexion will work with City Light & Power to bring the fiber optic network to that area.

Question from a Big Canyon Drive resident, we currently have a dumb modem (bridge mode) for Comcast which connects to our own non-wifi dedicated router (firewall, NAT, port forwarding etc) and then to our wifi access points. Would your modem act as a transparent bridge or will it replace our router? If it replaces our router then can we configure the port forwarding ourselves, and does your router support NAT loopback mode (really critical for us) Also any updates on our neighborhood? All the infrastructure got installed earlier this year.....

    STEPHENG asked 27 days ago

Hi Stephen, please see the response from our of our Network Engineers:

Our router is capable of acting as a transparent bridge device OR a router/modem combo. If you choose to use our managed wifi capabilities, port forwarding is configurable by you (or if it gives you trouble, you can give us a call!) And lastly, I was able to set a port forward on our router pointing to an SSH host using a custom port for the WAN side, the traditional SSH port to the LAN side, and pointed a secondary client to the public IP address using the WAN side port.  Based on this test I BELIEVE that NAT Loopback / Hairpinning should work.

Feel free to give our NOC a call at 970-207-7873.  Thanks!

Hello i was wondering about how long will it be before Caribou apartments on Timberline?

    Drock1116 asked 12 days ago

Thank you for your interest in Fort Collins Connexion!  We will be required to get a Right of Entry Agreement with your property management company.  We are in the process of initiating communications with Hendricks Communities.  If you are able, we encourage you to let your management company know you are interested in Connexion service.

If I rent my property, will I need to contact my management company for permission to get Connexion installed?

ABugosh asked about 1 month ago

We do recommend checking with your landlord prior to having Connexion service installed at your rental property.

Is the WiFi antenna on the Nokia G-240W-E fully disabled so that it will not interfere with my existing WiFi router?

tompmri asked about 1 month ago

The WIFI on the Nokia gateway is full disabled unless you sign up for WIFI service with Connexion--then it will be enabled. So it will not interfere with your existing router.

When the sidewalks were repaired in my neighborhood this past summer, the "S" curb marking where the sewer line is coming out of my house was not put back on the new curb of the replacement sidewalk. I've noticed that the the rest of the sewer line "S" markings on my street are being tagged/spray painted for the installation of the fiber that will be installed according to the door tag left a few days ago on my front door. Do you need to know where my sewer line is before the installation of the fiber?

tompmri asked about 1 month ago

Thanks for your question.  Prior to construction work beginning in a new area, our vendor partner, Atlantic Engineering Group (AEG) notifies Colorado 811 that work will begin.  811 then notifies all registered utilities and they are required to come out and mark the locations of their lines. This includes electricity, stormwater, wastewater, gas, phone, and other telecommunication services.  The lines will be marked with either flags or water-soluble paint indicating to AEG their location so crews can avoid them.

Will Timnath be part of the service area?

Timnath2020 asked about 2 months ago

Timnath is not a part of the initial broadband build-out for the City of Fort Collins.  Once full city-wide constructions has been completed, we will look at opportunities to partner with surrounding areas.
