What's Your Big Idea?

Would love to see more rooftop gardens, improved tree canopy along bike trails, and community gardening events for individuals or groups. I imagine many folks would be willing to volunteer to help create greenspaces which help cool the city.

Develop and implement a plan for snow removal in all residential neighborhoods. It is ridiculous that the streets in most residential areas never get plowed after snow storms.

Sweden and Norway safely burn their garbage to create energy. Rather than burying our plastic and paper in the ground to exist forever and leach into the water, we should carefully combust it to recover the energy and sequester the carbon dioxide that results.

There is a digital divide in Fort Collins. Even those with a smart phone or tablet do not always understand or have access to the internet. Get creative about reaching out to everyone, even those not on social media. Here are some ideas: Support the local paper and buy some ads. Put notices in electric bills for bigger issues not just the neighborhood. Your turn to get creative about Public Outreach. What else can be done?

Fort Collins is not immune to the spector of gun violence visiting us. We must do our best to work with surrounding communities, and do more to lessen the likelihood of gun violence in Fort Collins.
