Keep open spaces open; improve housing in already-developed areas
You're asking the wrong question. Hughes doesn't need to be developed. Instead, we need to keep our open spaces while making more efficient, effective use of already-developed areas. Improve housing quality and quantity in town; don't add to sprawl and reduce our open spaces!

I would like to see this site attractively developed into low income housing which is sadly lacking in this Ft Collins community.

Expand traffic impact analysis
The traffic impact analysis should include the impact on Taff Hill between Drake & Elizabeth. I know this is outside the normal traffic study boundaries, but additional housing will significantly impact this already congested and inadequately designed road section.

Hughes Redevelopment is a travesty
When you think how Tony Frank lied to the community about who would pay for the Canvass stadium no student or public funds -- a lie!), its outrageous. Then he gets a million dollar promotion to chancellor of the CSU system. I am a CSU alum and and ashamed of this man's despicable behavior...and ashamed of how he subordinates CSU's interests and reputation to his blind ambition. The only way this area should be developed is if Fort Collins/CUS extends a full blown east-west Max bus line starting at the property and meeting the N-S max at the downtown transit center or at CSU. This, as we all know, will never happen, thus the property should remain natural, open space!

I am quite concerned about the deliberate separation of higher income housing from lower income housing. I call this "Silent Segregation".
Let's start a new trend of neighbors who can benefit each other.
