The City has initiated the process to rezone six manufactured housing communities to the Manufactured Housing (MH) zone district. The six communities include: Cottonwood, Harmony Village, Hickory Village, North Star, Pleasant Grove, and Skyline.
Yellow signs indicating a rezoning is under review have been placed near the entrance to each property and mailed notices are being sent to all residents and property owners who live within and nearby each manufactured housing community. The letters contain information on the rezoning proposal and upcoming hearing dates.
While City Council will make a final decision on the rezoning proposal, the first step in the process is a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Board, currently scheduled to occur at the Board's October 15, 2020 hearing. Planning and Zoning Board agendas, meeting materials, and participation information can be found at: https://www.fcgov.com/cityclerk/planning-zoning.php.
