Second Phase of the State of Colorado Plastic Pollution law becomes effective
Starting January 1, 2024, large retail stores in Colorado will no longer be able to provide plastic bags for carryout and will charge a 10-cent fee for paper carryout bags used at checkouts and for pickup and delivery orders. Polystyrene (branded name Styrofoam) containers will no longer be available at restaurants, fast-food chains, grocery stores, and convenience stores.
