2018 Strategic Plan - Create Our Five Year Road Map

Feedback has closed for this project and we look forward to hearing from you again during the next step of planning - the Budgeting for Outcome process!

The City is currently compiling your feedback into a report that will be provided to Council and City leadership. Thank you for your participation!

The Strategic Plan is a document that serves as a five year road map for the City that articulates community goals, ways to measure success and aligns work across projects and departments. It will directly affect the development of the 2019-2020 City of Fort Collins Budget. The City’s mission, vision, and values were used to create the first iteration of the document in 2014 and it is updated every two years so we need your help to see if we're on track, what we're missing and even what you think should go away.

The plan is organized by seven Outcome Areas which are:

  1. Neighborhood Livability and Social Health
  2. Culture and Recreation
  3. Economic Health
  4. Environmental Health
  5. Safe Community
  6. Transportation
  7. High Performing Government

The 2018 City of Fort Collins Strategic Plan will reflect the input of residents, community and business partners, Mayor and Council Members, and City staff. The effort represents an organization-wide, issues-driven, and Council-reviewed strategic plan.

The City is reviewing the Strategic Plan to ensure that it reflects your needs and priorities. Your feedback will be reviewed, compiled and used as we move forward into the Budgeting for Outcomes (BFO) process, which emphasizes priorities and results, not just cost.
