Community Impact Ad Hoc Committee

The Ad Hoc Community Impact Committee was established by Resolution 2020-060 on June 23, 2020 with an overall purpose of ensuring that the City is creating an environment that provides safety and equity for all residents. The committee is made up of Councilmembers Emily Gorgol, Julie Pignataro, and Susan Gutowsky. The Committee advises City Council regarding potential future actions to ensure Fort Collins is a community that is serving all its residents.

By Resolution, the Committee will sunset in April 2021.

El Comité de Impacto Comunitario Ad Hoc se estableció mediante la Resolución 2020-060 el 23 de junio de 2020 con el propósito general de garantizar que el Gobierno de la Ciudad de Fort Collins esté creando un entorno que brinde seguridad y equidad para todos los miembros de la comunidad. El comité está compuesto por los concejales Emily Gorgol, Julie Pignataro y Susan Gutowsky.     Racial profiling should be ilegal.

    Systematic racism is a old problem we can totally solve step by step by leading with example. Racial profile must be reported, investigated and persecuted, people of color in FtCollins have not been treated equal by police officers I’ve been racially profiled every single time they stopped me and I’ve been given the ticket, they pull a gun on me and often accused me of things I haven’t done.     Q: How using "Neighbor" rather than "Civilian" saves innocent unarmed American lives.
