Fort Collins Station CoCo Questionnaire

Fort Collins is planning for a future intercity passenger rail station as part of the Colorado Connector, or "CoCo" for short. Intercity passenger rail connects several cities with multiple trips per day between each city station. Passenger rail is designed for longer trips than a typical commuter train and provides comfortable, reliable, city-to-city travel with wider seats, room for luggage and bikes, food and beverages and more.

CoCo will connect major cities, job centers, and key destinations across the region. The service aims to be competitive with driving, give people more travel options, and support the region’s economy. Starter Service begins Jan. 1, 2029, with three daily round trips between Fort Collins and Denver’s Union Station. Starter Service stations will be simple, with platforms next to the Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF) Railway tracks.

Planned features include:

Temporary platform
ADA accessibility infrastructure
Safety features: lighting, fencing, security cameras, and emergency call boxes
Canopy with a wind screen to shelter passengers from the elements
Wayfinding signage to help passengers navigate the station

Your responses to this questionnaire will help prioritize the implementation of Fort Collins station amenities and provide insight into how the station can be better connected with local transit, neighborhoods, and community destinations.
