March 2026: Project Updates
Transfort provided a staff report to City Council in Council's March 24, 2026 Work Session and received support to move forward with implementation of the Transfort Optimization Plan beginning in August 2026.

Transfort Service Changes to Expect
Implementation will start to take place in August 2026 while some routes which require significant realignment or new bus stops could take longer. Updates will be provided if this timeline changes.
Service Eliminations
- Routes 10, 11, 12: Currently suspended, will be removed from Transfort service
- Sunday service will not be provided for Fixed Route and Dial-A-Ride
- Bus-Stop-to-Bus-Stop on-demand taxi service will be removed
Service Enhancements
- Route Realignments: 2, 3/32, 8, 14, 16, 18, 81
- New Service: Timberline, East Prospect, CSU Campus connections, East Mulberry

Frequency Improvements:
- MAX will operate at 15-minute frequencies all day
- Routes 5, 9, and 14 will operate every 30 minutes during peak hours and every 60 minutes during off-peak hours
- Route 8 will operate every 20 minutes
